Intertain Group acquires online casino provider Vera&John

TORONTO, Dec. 23, 2014 – Intertain Group (“Intertain”) is announces that it has completed its acquisition of Dumarca Holdings, the Malta-based parent company of Vera&John for €44.5 million in cash.

Erik Voorhees Fined US$ 50k Over Unauthorized Securities Sale

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) charges Erik Voorhees for making a public offering of securities and failing to register it with the U.S. federal government.

A settlement bans him from Bitcoin security offerings during the next five years according to the official SEC statement. He is ordered to forfeit the profits of US$15,843.98, and pay a penalty of US$35,000.

The case involves solicitation of shares in two of his bitcoin-related ventures, Satoshi DICE, a Bitcoin casino and FeedZeBirds, a now closed pay-per-click service that took place in 2013.



Canadian Raw-Materials Stocks May Rise on Gold, Fed Rate Cuts

Sept. 18 (Bloomberg) — Canadian raw-materials stocks may rise along with prices of gold and nickel on expectations the Federal Reserve will cut borrowing costs to keep the U.S. economy out of recession, which may boost demand for commodities.

Goldcorp Inc. may gain as prices of bullion rose to the highest in 16 months. Inmet Mining Corp. may rise along with copper. DundeeWealth Inc. may gain after selling its banking unit and a stake in itself to Bank of Nova Scotia.
